flash remoting 與 soap (web service) 的效能比較
SOAP vs. Flash Remoting Benchmark

這篇文章已經出來幾年了，是 midnightcoders 這家公司做的benchmark testing, 裏面簡單的結論如下：

For any application that requires moderate to high remote invocation volume and/or involving complex data types and large arrays, Flash Remoting is a better fit.

根據當年一大串討論後所得到的模糊記憶表示，flash remoting在大量資料傳輸的情況可能比 soap 快 50x – 100x 倍。

當然，在 post-flex2 era, Flex Data Servcie所提供的 persistent service很有可能完全改變 amf/soap 壁疊分明的情況，但這個就後話了。
