flash player 9 功能小預告

Ted Patrick (of PowerSDK) 在  flexcoder 裏提到 flash player 9的部份功能：

At Spark Europe the Flash Player team talked a bit about Flash Player 9 and hardware based GPU rendering. In Player 8.5, graphics rendering is currently the limiting factor within the player as the performance ceiling on AS3 performance has been massively lifted ( Thanks Gary, Edwin, & Team ). With hardware based rendering, the CPU based rendering will move to being GPU based for 2D operations. This will allow the player to internally cycle 20+ times faster and provide more resource to the ActionScript engine. We are very likely to see another huge multiple in player performance in Flash Player 9+ atop the performance gains in Flash Player 8.5.

I think many are missing the fact that FP8.5 is laying the foundation for dramatic player performance moving forward.

重點擷錄：

1、flash player 在可見的將來仍然不會是 multi-threaded

2、但FP9 很可能支援 hardware rendering, 也就是把原本要 cpu 運算畫面的工作，丟給 GPU去處理，這樣不但可減輕 cpu的負擔，也可讓 flash  vm 更專心的處理非視覺的部份，更恐怖的是，如果GPU部份能內建一些 library，那重現 director 式的 3D 作品應該就不是夢了。

3、FP9  理論上應該會比 FP8.5 再快 20x，這真是非常非常歡樂的世界啊~

基本上現在FP8.5的速度就已經好到讓人無可挑愓，可以隨心所欲的創作與發揮了，如果有了再快 20x 的速度，說真的大概只能用來做DNA排序研究了…

本週金句: api scrub & showstoper

api scrub: 通常用來形容某個程式架構的內容經歷大幅修改，例如package結構有變或名稱改變等。

showstoper: 看字義就知道，show – stoper，讓戲演不下去的人，簡單講就是來鬧場的人~

那這兩個字有什麼關連？有，但不足為外人道，僅註記於止。

心得：想玩心臟就要夠強啊~~~

升級 wordpress 2.02 完成

在觀望三個月後，最近終於覺得 wordpress 2.0這個版本比較穩定了，所以前兩天沒事就順手升級一下。

幾個keynote:

-一定要先備份mysql 資料

-一定要先將舊的folder全tar 一份起來

有了以上兩者，就算升級過程發生不幸，也可以在五分鐘內回覆到舊版本。

至於升級後的好處與試用心得：

-CMS部份全部改寫，大量使用 ajax小技巧，目前用來還算順手。

-新的所見即所得式文字編輯框，不太好用，通常我習慣自已打html tag進去，但現在某些tag會衝突。

-spam管理：這是本站最需要的東西，不知為何，通常spam都是發到mysql亂碼與wordpress分類這兩篇，平均每日有十來封，現在有了新的spam filter，情況好很多。

-db 自動備份：這樣就不用crontab了.

-版型可續用：這是升級前最擔心的事，如果像之前升級 v1.x時要重新設計版面那就謝謝再聯絡了，好在一切都很順利，只要小修幾個css即可。

另外升級後也改了幾個plugin，將來應該會更順。

接下來就是要找一個方便好用的 swf 插入器，以後有 swf demo 可以直接 embed 在文字裏，不用再連到外面了。

sidenote: 升級時我又再想了一遍，像wordpress這種app，用flex 來寫是否適當？目前的結論是：後台CMS的部份用flex寫應該ok，有某些功能會更順手，版面配置也會更靈活，同時不用擔心平台與browser版本問題；但前台的部份仍然是用純html/css 比較好。

星期三RIA說明會與crash course 時間更新

這星期三(2006-Mar-15 )晚上七點在恆逸資訊有一場 RIA課程說明會，這個班是針對使用 Flash/AS2 開發RIA而設，有興趣的朋友可以來聽聽。

比較重要的是，如果對 flex2 有興趣的朋友可以在會後來打聲招呼，我會留下來跟大家聊聊順便回答各種相關疑難雜症
