NVU 的唸法是 N-View (代表 new-view)

它是一個 linux 上的open source html editor, 之前曾考慮用 Emacs或 VIM+syntax coloring, 但既然有類似dreamweaver的編輯環境又何苦麻煩自已呢

比較有意思的地方在於它是從 mozilla composer的codebase為基礎改過來，目前功能已非常完整，可以拿原始碼來學習怎麼寫一個editor，例如怎麼處理parser optimization, syntax coloring與 debugging等。
