yahoo新型web bot - inktomisearch.com

今晚因為貼了合併案的分析報導(那是給某家雜誌的稿子)導致流量大增，花了些時間仔細看過log一遍，結果意外發現有個bot很勤奮的每天都來拜訪一遍，它的名字是 lj2059.inktomisearch.com (68.142.249.69) ，反查之後得到這是一家位於 California, Foster City, United States的公司，再google 一下才發現原來 inktomi.com 是yahoo的子公司，專門從事web research，這是從該公司網頁上看來的tag內容：

“Inktomi is a leading provider of Web search products. Inktomi pioneered and is the leading provider of OEM Web search and paid inclusion services for top consumer portals, Internet destinations and e-commerce sites worldwide. Its Web search customers and partners include Amazon.com, eBay, HotBot, MSN and WalMart.com.”

有時這隻bot也叫做slurp，但大抵都是該公司派來的，下次看到就微笑順便揮揮手別在意了 ^^

    呃 至少就我所知單純的bot應該只是蒐集資訊後就離開，除非會像google bot那樣意外觸發 http get 指令然後導致web app不正常運作，但機會很低吧。

    午休時看了一下自己的 blog，看到本日人氣竟然是誇張的 75，第一反應不是欣喜，而是「發生什麼怪事了」？進入後台看了一下，看到一堆 Anonymous 來訪者；又去服務區看了一下，也有使用者…..

    這兩天查看流量統計，居然昨日流量達到60G之多，今天一上午的時間又10G左右。這個Yahoo的Bot都在索引些什么呢？有這么大流量。

    wow, 我這裏從來沒出現 10gb 這種恐怖的數字啊，通常它都是來一下就走，沒吃掉多少流量的。
